The 90’s for me meant emblazoned designer logos. T-shirts, sweatshirts, backpacks, you name it. As I got older, I quit logos all together and went with solids. I rarely sprung for a print. My mentality was, if it was a solid you’d never get sick of it and it would (usually) never go out of style.
But lately I’m so intrigued by prints, especially stripes. My recent trip to the East Coast has intensified my love for the breton shirt… If I had my pick of the ones above, I love the stripe placement of the top from Balmain F/W ’09.
I did buy a top from Ebay that is similar (above), but I’d like to find another breton top in a shorter length and in a thin, soft fabric.
I’m picturing this top with some black cigarette jeans and a Chanel XL Jumbo. Anything French is really up my alley right now!
Hmmm…. I’m thinking if I can find a substantial white boatneck, I may even try buying some black sequin trim to emulate the sequin Balmain shirt. Excited!!!
