Right now I’m focusing on building up cash reserves because of increased fixed expenses (rent, utilities). I’ve been contributing a LOT to my 401K in the past 2 years of my post-college job, but now I want to divert some of that to my Roth IRA.
401K contribution: 5% pre-tax (100% employer match up to 5%), was 20% pre-tax
Roth IRA contributions for this year: Roughly $400 per month starting in January 2010; was $0
High interest savings account deposits: $0; was $550 per month
Investing: $0; was variable but when I did invest it was with amounts less than $700 at a time
