Shoe Haul: Alexander Wang, Forever 21

I haven’t bought shoes in a while but lately I’ve been wanting to update my shoe wardrobe!

There are a lot of Zara heels with pointy stilettos out there in the blogosphere but when they were still on the Zara website I couldn’t throw the money down for them.  (They’re similar to the Alexander Wang Lovisa I think.) I found a nice pair on the Forever 21 website for under $30 with a real leather insole.  The also come in a nude color.  I was also looking at these color block heels and these Steve Madden-esque heels.  I figured for under $30 I won’t get too upset if I get tired of this style.

Buddy makes an appearance on the left :)  I bought these in a size 7 and they’re true to size.  My shoe purchases vary from 6.5 to 7 depending on the brand.

Next up is a mesh bootie from Forever 21 as well.  Unfortunately I just checked the site and they’re sold out now.  (Modeled after some BCBG and Reed Krakoff booties.)  Holly from Hollyannaeree wrote about these as well.

And now for my favorite out of the bunch… I found these Alexander Wang “Liu” heels at Nordstrom Rack yesterday.  They also had this pink pair but it was a 37.5 and VERY painful off the bat.  I think this is the Alexander Wang Fabiana heels, but maybe somehow they lost their “cape?”

Both of these were on clearance for $150… the original price was $495, and after 70% off, they’re still $150 each (omg. still pretty expensive)

At first I thought they were REALLY strange looking.  But they started growing on me and I didn’t have the heart to put them back on the shelf.  Delicate yet substantial, classic yet unique.  I had a hard time with the Fabiana’s because the toe strap and the thin ankle strap didn’t hold in my feet very well as I walked.  And even on carpet my feet started to ache after a few minutes.  I guess it was also due to the fact that they were 37.5 too instead of a size 37.

The “shields” on this heel keep my foot in place while walking, and the insole is padded at the bottom.  Yay :)  They will probably hurt after a few hours but… they’re high heels and I think most heels will feel that way regardless. At least for me.

$150 is a bit steep for me but.. I’ll just think of it as an early birthday present to myself :)

Which is your favorite?
